Hi, I’m Catia Assis, and I’ve been passionate about fitness for over 20 years. Originally from Brazil, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and became a NASM-certified personal trainer. I’ve had the pleasure of working with diverse clients, helping them achieve goals like weight loss, building lean muscle, and recovering from injuries.
I moved to the U.S. in 2016 and began my fitness career at The Bxng Club in 2018. I quickly progressed through the ranks, becoming a Tier 4 trainer (the highest level) and was honored to be named Personal Trainer of the Year in 2020.
During my six years at The Bxng Club, I gained valuable experience working with clients one-on-one and leading high-energy HIIT group classes. This allowed me to grow both personally and professionally.
I believe in a holistic approach to fitness that focuses on sustainable growth and change. I’ll help you:

Every coach at Legacy works independently inside the facility, which means you choose the coach, and the coach builds the program. No membership is required to train with a coach. Coaching is booked directly with the coach you choose.
Catia's profile lists personal training as the main focus areas.

Personal training is one coach, one plan, built around you. It combines assessment, programming, coaching in the room and accountability, so the time you invest goes toward your own goals rather than a generic routine.
Your coach learns your goals, history, schedule and limitations, and screens how you move before writing anything down.
Exercises, loads and session structure are chosen for your body and goal, and they change as you improve.
Your coach teaches technique, adjusts loads in real time and keeps sessions productive, which is the part an app or a video cannot do.
Strength, measurements, consistency and how you feel are tracked so you can see the direction, not just guess at it.
Every plan is built around the individual, so your coach will adjust this. As a general shape, the first four weeks of personal training coaching tend to run like this.
Goals, history and a movement screen produce your starting program.
Exercises are taught, loads are set and you learn how a session flows.
Weights and difficulty rise as you get comfortable, and your coach refines technique.
Results are compared with your starting numbers, and the next block is built from what worked.
